A selection of links to worthwhile resources:
( Brooklyn Cooperative Federal Credit Union, Brooklyn, NY ).
I enjoyed my time serving on the Board of the Credit Union and continue to believe in their mission of service to others.
The dedicated people of Brooklyn Cooperative Federal Credit Union do great work in their community.
( Terra Incognita Tours, Greater Berlin, Germany ).
Johannes Westerkamp of Terra Incognita Tours did a great job of showing me around parts of Berlin I had never experienced. He provides both English and German-speaking tours and will customise any of his tour offerings to focus on your specific interests.
( The Economist Films ).
This is an excellent resource for viewing superbly done, innovative, timely and thought provoking video content.
( Pediwear online shoe seller, UK ).
While working in London I found a very nice pair of English shoes by Loake (http://www.loake.co.uk/) that kept my feet dry despite the perpetually wet conditions there. What made the difference was the Dainite soles offered by Loake on certain models. When the time came to replace them, I found that they were not available in North America.
The Pediwear people did an excellent job for me when I was looking to replace my favorite pair of English shoes. The service could not have been better.
( Open Streetmap ).
Openstreetmap is an excellent resource for all mapping projects.
( Kookas Bed and Breakfast, Cairns, Australia ).
This is where I stayed while visiting Cairns and the Tropical North of Queensland. While the center of Cairns can be a bit hectic, Kookas is perfectly located to provide a peaceful and restful environment. Marlies and Bruno are wonderful hosts whose vast knowledge of Australia and the Tropical North as well as their superb culinary abilities made for a very enjoyable visit. If you plan to visit Cairns, I definitely recommend staying at Kookas.
