Mark Scarloss currently works in information and physical security in the financial services sector.
He earned a Master's degree in Germanic Languages and Literatures from the University of Kansas, and later taught German at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. His involvement with information technology began in the late 20th century. Despite having previously done useful things in other languages, the only programming language he cares to use these days is Python. He has also had training in operating systems and networking.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of Brooklyn Cooperative Federal Credit Union in Brooklyn, New York. (www.brooklyn.coop).
Mr. Scarloss' professional expertise is in Information and Physical Security Policy creation and implementation, IT security and risk management, Business Continuity planning and wireless telecommunications systems.
